The Trellis Center at KidsTLC offers a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team assessment as well as single specialization assessments to identify your child’s needs in the areas of social behavior, language and communication, fine and gross motor functioning, sensory needs and academic and adaptive functioning.
Autism Services at KidsTLC
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA is the use of techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. This class of intervention includes techniques such as prompting, shaping, differential reinforcement and chaining. ABA services include center-based services for children ages 18 months to 14 years of age.
Social Learning Opportunities and Groups
Social learning opportunities are designed to facilitate social skills development in a structured, fun and supportive environment for children with social challenges related to an autism spectrum or related developmental disorder. On both individual and small group levels, we utilize trained neurotypical peer group volunteers to assist in the social development process of our clients.

Divided into age groups 5-11, 12-14 and 15-18, these sessions support learners who have age-appropriate communication and self-help skills and do not display severe problem behavior. Click here to learn more.
Speech & Language Services
Communication can significantly improve meaningful connections. The Trellis Center at KidsTLC offers outpatient assessments, as well as individual and group speech therapy services for clients between the ages of 18 months to 14 years of age. Click here to learn more.
Occupational Therapy Services
Improving everyday skills may allow children to participate in a broader range of activities and become more independent. We offer outpatient assessments along with individual and group occupational therapy services for clients between the ages of 18 months to 14 years of age. Click here to learn more.
Peer Model Volunteer Program
The Trellis Center at KidsTLC integrates peer models ages 3–14 to incorporate into our services year round. If your child would like to participate, click here for more information! Peer models are needed in a variety of sessions from 9am–6:30pm M–F. Volunteer sessions generally average 3 hours per day, depending on preference.
Group-based Parent Training:
Available to ALL caregivers! Whether currently enrolled at the Trellis Center, on our waiting list or receiving services elsewhere, this unique educational opportunity is covered by most insurance companies and offers affordable private rates.
Guidance in the Grove
Guidance in the Grove provides parents and caregivers specialized training on general Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) topics and strategies to support families within their homes, as well as their communities. Sessions will be offered in 6- to 8-week training cohorts and will tackle a variety of behavioral skills topics.
KidsTLC Clinicians are in-network with Humana, BCBS/NDBH, UBH, UHC, Optum, Cigna and Aetna. We are currently awaiting approval from KMAPP to offer services through the Medicaid state employee.
Social Learning opportunities can be accessed through ABA/Autism private insurance coverage with the companies listed above, through private pay and potential scholarship programs.
Speech-Language and Occupational Therapy Services: We are currently in-network for most local insurance companies and we accept private pay. Please contact us with any insurance questions you have.
