KidsTLC is Impressive!

In 2019, KidsTLC became the very first Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Practice and Parenting (DDP)-certified residential treatment facility in the world. DDP is an internationally known approach to care that is based on relationships, attachment and connection. DDP helps KidsTLC understand, support and heal our children and families.

DDP certification for an organization requires all leadership staff to receive extensive training in relating with traumatized children—and all people—in a manner that generates safety and strength-based learning about self and others. DDP has truly become the golden fiber that weaves its way throughout all relationships on our campus!

Just like washing hands and social distancing are critical for physical health during a pandemic, these are the preventative strategies that keep mental health strong. And luckily for us all, we don’t even have to leave our homes."

People have generously asked how they can help support KidsTLC during this difficult time. Our staff and medical team could use some personal protection equipment (PPE) that is in short supply! If you have some things you can donate, we'll coordinate a safe way to get them! Visit https://www.kidstlc.org/donate-items/ for more specifics and contact info@kidstlc.org with questions! Our hearts are with everyone during this challenging time, and we're very thankful for your support! #Gratefull #WeCanDoHardThings

Through all of the evolving changes, kids in our residential program need to know their birthdays are still celebrated! The Birthday Party Project quickly coordinated the delivery of party supplies, gifts and #Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes so that kids living on our campus can celebrate “social distancing style!" #Grateful for community partners helping us find alternative ways to keep treasured activities going for our residential clients! #CommunityPartners #TransformingLives
