KidsTLC is Impressive!

KidsTLC, recognized in the top 1% of all US non-profits by Charity Navigator*, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities, transforms thousands of children’s lives each year through innovative and successful psychiatric treatment, outpatient behavioral health, autism and parent support programs.

*Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating indicates that KidsTLC adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Honored for KidsTLC and our Trellis Center to be recognized by the City of Olathe, KS Government with the Accessible Community Award! It takes countless hours and steadfast determination to make sure children with mental & behavioral health challenges aren’t marginalized and stigmatized. The award also honors “meritorious service, perseverance and determination in the pursuit of disability inclusiveness.” Dr. Erin Dugan and five members from our unparalleled staff at the Trellis Center (our integrative autism services) graciously accepted the award after a heartfelt introduction by LeEtta McClung Felter. We’re humbled by this recognition! Thanks to the Olathe Human Relations Committee and the Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board for the award and hosting a wonderful evening!

Thought provoking article about creating "trauma sensitive and trauma-informed" education programs. KidsTLC treats and cares for many children with childhood trauma. As with so many diagnoses, early intervention can improve outcomes significantly. What would it look like if schools screened for this? #TransformingLives #HopeExists
