Erin Dugan, Ph.D.
President & CEO

Erin has led KidsTLC since 2018, following 26 years with the Olathe Public Schools. She holds an M.S. in Child Developmental Psychology and a Ph.D. in Education, Policy and Leadership.

Topics include: The Impact of Mental Health in the Workplace, Building Resilience in Children and Leaders, Leading with Positivity, Creating Cultures of Wellness, The Mental Health Impact of Volunteering, Having Difficult Conversations with Anyone.


John Laffoon, Ed.D., MSW
Executive Leader, Education & Clinical Integration

John joined KidsTLC in 2020 after 20 years with the Olathe Public Schools, where he served as Director of Special Services among other roles. He has extensive experience supporting at-risk youth and has worked as a therapist, emergency screener and trainer.


Topics include: Leadership, Working with Challenging Children, Mental Health Topics, School Transitions and Anxiety.


Dan Lash, LCMFT
Vice President of Lotus Programming

Dan has more than 20 years of experience as a therapist, beginning in music therapy before becoming a marriage and family therapist. He has been with KidsTLC for 12 years in key clinical and leadership roles.


Topics include: Building Trust and Resilience, Healthy Self-Care Strategies, Strengthening Relationships Through Therapeutic Approaches.


Katie Gower
Vice President, Trellis Center

Katie joined KidsTLC in 2017 and has extensive training in behavior analysis, including specialized work at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is a strong advocate for accessible, high-quality behavioral services.


Topics include: Behavior Analytic Supports, Autism Support, Caregiver and Staff Training, Understanding the Functions of Behavior.


Devin Burgin
Vice President, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility

Devin brings nearly 13 years of behavioral health leadership experience. With a background in exercise science and personal training, he is passionate about mentorship and team development.


Topics include: Residential Operations, Leadership Development, Teamwork, Purposeful Leadership, Leadership.


Kana Love, LCPC, M.S.
Director of Clinical Training

Kana has been part of KidsTLC since 2016 and has served in multiple clinical roles, including unit therapist and private practice clinician. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a focus on relationship-based work.


Topics include: Mental Wellness, Complex Trauma and Attachment, Cultural Belonging, Parent-Child Relationships.


Luca Anelli, LMLP
Director of Clinical Services

Luca is a Licensed Masters Level Psychologist and former unit therapist in KidsTLC’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. He holds degrees in Psychology, Sociology and Clinical Psychology.

Topics include: Supporting Neurodiverse Youth, Autism and IDD-Focused Care, Multidisciplinary Therapeutic Approaches.
