How to Pay for Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)
There are two ways in which one can pay for treatment at KidsTLC’s PRTF program. The first and most common way is through Kansas Medicaid. Youth who have participated in the screening process at the local mental health center and found to meet criteria for PRTF, automatically become eligible to apply for a form of Kansas Medicaid that will cover the cost of treatment.
The second way to pay for treatment is through private pay. Please contact members of the Intake Team to discuss the private pay option in more detail.
Unfortunately, at this time KidsTLC’s PRTF program is not affiliated with any commercial insurance companies; therefore, KidsTLC’s PRTF program will always be considered out-of-network. Please contact members of the Intake Team to discuss coverage, benefits and eligibility in further detail.
