Volunteer Opportunities

"It's About the Kids". TLC was founded for that reason, and as we celebrate our 34th anniversary, we look back on all that TLC has accomplished over the years. We started out as a small shelter home and now have six programs helping children in crisis. Last year alone, over 5,500 children received shelter and/or social services from TLC.

People often ask us, "Doesn't it break your heart to hear the stories of the children who come to TLC?" These stories are always heart-wrenching, but the opportunity to help at this time when help is really needed, is a joy, a privilege and a BIG responsibility. The children served by TLC are facing problems that require united efforts of many people to resolve.

Businesses/Organizations:

Groups of all sizes are needed to volunteer their time, services, and expertise at TLC.  There are many opportunities for community service or fundraising projects.

Shelter Homes

Groups are needed to spend time with the youth doing craft activities,

games, picnics, cleaning and maintenance, or special outings.               

Special Events

Groups are needed throughout the year to help support special events such

as the Tee It Up for TLC golf tournament, the United for Kids Gala.. or

conduct your own special event to benefit TLC.

Individuals:

Individuals who are 21 years of age or older are needed to participate in a variety of ways to support TLC's Mission.  No matter what your interest or area of expertise is, TLC can use your support!
